About Sarangkheda

Renowned for supplying high-quality war horses to the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji, the fair drew patrons ranging from Nizams to farmers and traders. Over the years, Sarangkheda’s horse fair has lured traders and buyers from distant parts of India, even reaching as far as Baluchistan and Arabia. This enduring tradition persists, with horse enthusiasts and patrons nationwide continuing to flock to the village during the festival.

The village is also distinguished by the nearly century-old Datta Mandir. Moreover,Sarangkheda’s unique advantage lies in its proximity to the borders of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
